1. Overview of Smoke‑fire Damper (Smoke Exhaust Fire Damper)
1.1
Smoke‑fire dampers are mainly installed on ductwork of mechanical smoke‑exhaust systems. Normally open under normal conditions; it performs smoke exhaust during fire emergency. When flue‑gas temperature inside duct reaches 280 ℃, the fusible link triggers automatic damper closure to meet fire‑resistance integrity requirement for smoke & fire isolation, and can interlock to shut down smoke exhaust fan. Available in full range of sizes including rectangular and round types for various smoke‑exhaust ducts.
‑ Standard Normally‑open Smoke‑fire Damper: Auto‑close at 280 ℃, manual close & manual reset, for main and branch smoke‑exhaust ducts. ‑ Signal‑feedback Smoke‑fire Damper: Auto‑close at 280 ℃, outputs electric closing signal for fire‑control system interlock with smoke exhaust fan. ‑ Motor‑controlled Smoke‑fire Damper: DC24V motor‑actuated closing for remote control, suitable for shaft space and high‑altitude locations with difficult on‑site access.
1.2 Product Classification
‑ By structural shape: Rectangular type, Round type. ‑ By functional configuration: ‑ Standard Normally‑open Type: 280 ℃ thermal shut‑off, manual close and manual reset. ‑ Signal‑feedback Type: 280 ℃ thermal shut‑off with position signal output. ‑ Motor‑controlled Type: 280 ℃ thermal shut‑off, DC24V electric closing with manual reset.
2. Operating Conditions for Smoke‑fire Damper
Operating temperature: ‑20 ℃ ~ +80 ℃; short‑term action temperature for 280 ℃ fusible link. Relative humidity: less than 90%. Medium condition: Flue‑gas for smoke‑exhaust duct system.
Power supply: DC24V for signal‑feedback and motor‑controlled models.
3. Smoke‑fire Damper Configuration
3.1 Standard Components
‑ Damper body ‑ Blade assembly ‑ 280 ℃ thermal fusible link ‑ Actuator ‑ Connecting flange
3.2 Optional Accessories (please specify requirements upon order)
‑ Position feedback device ‑ Remote‑control actuator ‑ Sealing gasket
4. Manufacturing Process of Smoke‑fire Damper
4.1
Damper body and blades are fabricated from galvanized steel sheet. Blades are reinforced with stiffeners for structural rigidity. Rotating shafts are fitted with wear‑resistant bushings for smooth opening and closing. The 280 ℃ thermal fusible link is calibrated in compliance with fire‑protection standards to guarantee reliable high‑temperature actuation.
4.2
Damper flange is integrally bent to form flat mating surface for convenient smoke‑exhaust duct connection.
