1. Overview of Pressure Relief Damper

1.1

Pressure relief damper is fire‑safety pressure‑relief component, mounted on partition walls between smoke‑proof stairwells and antechambers. It operates automatically by gravity counterweight without power supply. When positive pressure inside pressurized space exceeds preset differential pressure, the flap opens to discharge excess air and prevent over‑pressure which makes fire‑door hard to open. When pressure drops back to normal range, counterweight closes flap automatically to maintain proper positive pressure for smoke protection. Mainly rectangular shape. Opening differential pressure can be adjusted on‑site by repositioning counterweight weight.

4. Manufacturing Process of Pressure Relief Damper

Damper body and outer frame are fabricated by bending and welding galvanized steel sheet. Flap plate adopts lightweight aluminum alloy. Rolling bearings fitted on rotating shaft for smooth flap movement. Movable counter‑weight allows differential‑pressure setting. Sealing gasket ensures tight closure. Powder‑coated surface finish is optional.
