Pressure Relief Damper

Fire‑safety pressurization relief damper, gravity‑driven auto‑open‑close without power. Installed on stairwell & antechamber partition wall. Opens for pressure relief under over‑pressure, auto‑closes when pressure recovers. Counter‑weight type allows on‑site differential‑pressure adjustment to protect fire‑doors.

1. Overview of Pressure Relief Damper

1.1

Pressure relief damper is fire‑safety pressure‑relief component, mounted on partition walls between smoke‑proof stairwells and antechambers. It operates automatically by gravity counterweight without power supply. When positive pressure inside pressurized space exceeds preset differential pressure, the flap opens to discharge excess air and prevent over‑pressure which makes fire‑door hard to open. When pressure drops back to normal range, counterweight closes flap automatically to maintain proper positive pressure for smoke protection. Mainly rectangular shape. Opening differential pressure can be adjusted on‑site by repositioning counterweight weight.

‑ Adjustable Counterweight Type: Counter‑weight design, adjustable opening differential pressure 5‑30Pa, widely used for stairwell & antechamber pressure relief. ‑ Self‑dropping Type: Fixed‑differential‑pressure flap, simple structure for stable pressure condition. ‑ Signal‑feedback Type: Output electric signal when flap opens for fire‑control system connection.

1.2 Product Classification

‑ By structural shape: Rectangular type. ‑ By functional configuration: ‑ Adjustable Counterweight Type: Counter‑weight assembly, field‑adjustable differential pressure, no power required. ‑ Self‑dropping Type: Fixed‑pressure self‑closing flap, no on‑site adjustment needed. ‑ Signal‑feedback Type: Provides open‑position feedback signal.

2. Operating Conditions for Pressure Relief Damper

Operating temperature: ‑20 ℃ ~ +80 ℃ Relative humidity: less than 90% Medium condition: Fresh air for pressurized air supply.

Power supply: No power for standard models; DC24V for signal‑feedback version.

3. Pressure Relief Damper Configuration

3.1 Standard Components

‑ Damper body ‑ Aluminum flap plate ‑ Counter‑weight assembly ‑ Rotating shaft & bearing assembly ‑ Decorative outer frame

3.2 Optional Accessories (please specify requirements upon order)

‑ Position feedback device ‑ Sealing gasket ‑ Powder‑coated anti‑corrosion finish

4. Manufacturing Process of Pressure Relief Damper

4.1

Damper body and outer frame are fabricated by bending and welding galvanized steel sheet. Flap plate adopts lightweight aluminum alloy. Rolling bearings fitted on rotating shaft for smooth flap movement. Movable counter‑weight allows differential‑pressure setting. Sealing gasket ensures tight closure. Powder‑coated surface finish is optional.

4.2

Outer frame is integrally bent with flat mounting surface for flush wall installation.
